This series of photographs is a document concerning the social issue of orphaned and neglected children. The subjects of these photographs were spaces, belongings and staff working within the grounds of a children’s home in Trzemietowo, Poland.

The aim was not only to tell the personal stories of the children that inhabit this ‘home’ but also to bring the issue of neglected children, their position on the outskirts of society and the lack of emotional and economical support from governments to the forefront of the audiences mind. The images combined with statements by children residing in the 'home' give an emotional context to the photographs of the spaces.
